1. RECEIPT OF BIDS
Sealed bids for the above project will be received by the Village of Rothbury of 7804 S Michigan Ave Rothbury, Michigan 49452 until: 2:00pm (local time) on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

2. SCOPE OF PROJECT
The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Demolition of the existing volleyball fencing and play structure. Relocation of an existing light pole and donation plaque. Installation of new paved parking lot, barrier free parking, basketball court, prefabricated restroom, concrete sidewalks, fencing, signage, water well, septic field, amenities, and landscaping. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration.

3. EXAMINATION OF SPECIFICATIONS
Contract documents may be examined online at www.preinnewhof.com/plan-room or at the offices of: Prein&Newhof, 4910 Stariha Drive, Muskegon, MI 49441 And some local plan rooms.

4. DEPOSIT FOR DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Drawings and specifications are available online at www.preinnewhof.com/plan-room or at the 4910 Stariha Drive, Muskegon, MI 49441 office of Prein&Newhof after 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 30, 2026. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $170.00 dollars. Prein&Newhof Plan Room members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $72.00 dollars. A $15 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded.

5. FUNDING
The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from MDNR Recreation Passport Grant and the Village of Rothbury.

6. BID SURETY
A bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to the Village of Rothbury in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids.

7. RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days thereafter.

8. COMPLETION DATE
The project shall be substantially completed by May 31, 2027 and ready for final payment June 30, 2027 following restoration review.
